Clyde L. Snapp departed this life on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Lightways Hospice with his wife by his side and surrounded by family.
Clyde was born September 30, 1949 in Chicago, IL to the late Warren Henry and Mary Edith Snapp.
Clyde was a graduate of Lockport Township High School. He furthered his education through attending Joliet Junior College where he received numerous certificates in the trade fields. He worked for Uniroyal, E. J. & E. Railroad as a Switchman, Chemical Operator at Amoco, Process Technician at Mobil and Mechanical Maintenance at Commonwealth Edison.
Clyde loved reading and discussing the Bible. He was a lover of family, music and life. He had a big heart and was always ready and willing to help anyone in need. Clyde attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church with his wife.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, Warren Henry and Mary Edith Snapp and granddaughter, Cheyenne Snapp.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Ingrid (McEwen) Snapp and loving children: Lucky (Clyde) Snapp, Christy Snapp, Jamila Snapp, Jared Clifford Jackson (Stepson), and Jason S. Jackson (Stepson). He is also survived by 13 precious grandchildren: Malik, Essence, Justus, Jerrica, Troy, Christopher, Emond, Courtland, Charon Justin, Cailyn, Jariessa, Tristen, and Lauren (Melba) Jackson.
Clyde is survived by his siblings, Warren C. (Jackie) Snapp, Howard (Debra) Snapp, David Snapp, Ranoma (Charles) Dixon, Darryl Snapp, Rose (Reverend Adrian) Heath, Patrick (Deidra) Snapp, Sidonia (David) Range, Rene (Robert) Scott, Alicia Lee, Ardis (Jobie) Mosley; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
