Curtis Duke III

Curtis Duke III was born February 15, 1962 in Joliet, Illinois to Wanda and Curtis Duke Sr. He transitioned the morning of Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Illinois.

Curtis graduated from Joliet East High School in 1980. Afterwards he relocated to Monroe, Louisiana. Upon returning to Joliet, he joined Second Baptist Church of Joliet. Curtis loved children and was affectionately known as a father figure to many. He loved cooking and organizing parties for the JFK Building where he resided. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, sisters, Fay, Janice and JoAnn; brothers, Curtis Jr. and William.

Left to cherish his memories are his son, Kenneth Johnson; his sisters: Fannie, Roslyn, Annette and Kelly; his aunt, Esterr Boykin and uncle, Nick Carson; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
