Curtis Jermaine Russell

Curtis Jermaine Russell Jr. Was born June 23, 1987 to Quanita Renee Young and Curtis Russell Sr. of Joliet, IL. He departed his life on January 22,2025. Curtis accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Taft Elementary, L Marshall and Joliet West High School.

Curtis was a loving, caring and humble person who cared about his family. Curtis loved to draw and lived in Las Vegas, NV for a short time with his Uncle Duane. Curtis was eager to pursue a career in trucking once released. Curtis is preceded in death by his father, Curtis (Carla) Russell lll, Uncle Duane Russell, grandparents, Joyce Russell, Curtis Russell Sr. and Arlene Young and dear cousin, Jason Bingham.

Curtis leaves to cherish his loving memory to his loving mother, Juanita Renee Gray; Aunt, Ebony  Young  and Uncle, Curtis Russell Creal, both of Joliet, IL. Maternal grandfather, Kerry Harris of Joliet, IL, Stepmother, Carla Moore-Russell of Plantation, FL; three brothers, Calvin (Cal Cal) Russell, Jay'lon Reed and Carter Moore-Russell. Distinctive family and friends: Leather Smith, Renaldo Ellis, Ronald and Cassandra Fulwiley, Andra and Marcus Broadway, Natasha Young, Malik Williams and the brothers from the Kewanee Re-Entry Center.  You all had a special bond with our beloved Curtis.
