Dale Milton Townsend (Deacon)

Dale Milton Townsend, age 71, a believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was born a twin on April 22, 1953.  His Womb Mate is, Dean Hilton Shababa (Angel) Townsend.  Dale is the 3rd child of deceased phenomenal parents: Antoinette Townsend and former Will County Sherriff Policeman, Johnny Townsend. He is the younger brother of Les (Donna) Townsend and older brother of Jan Townsend (Brian) Smith and Van Townsend and deceased younger brother, Anthony Townsend, 1980.

Dale married his friend, Debralee Townsend, December 9, 1974. The father of three amazing children, Quentin Townsend (Deceased March 2023), Kimberly Townsend and Corrigan Townsend. Dale was the Super Proud Grandfather of one “Lego Master” Grandson, Emmanuel Townsend. (Kim’s son)

Dale attended: Eliza Kelly, Forest Park, Gompers, Joliet Central, I.B.E.W. Local 176 Apprentice Training and Joliet Junior College acquiring an Instrumentation Certification. Dale retired after 31 years, as a Journeyman Electrician representing I.B.E.W. local 176.                           

His passion, hobby, side hustle was photography for many years. Adding to the collection of his family’s book on Amazon, Dale is the co-author of the soon to be released book “Someone Needs To.” 

Dale’s Family Church Home is St. Mark C.M.E. Church, where he at one time was on the Steward Board and the Young Adult Choir Director. Dale faithfully watched The Apostolic Church of God, Chicago Illinois, every Sunday. 

His favorite song was “Oh Mary Don’t You Weep” by Aretha Franklin.

Dale faithfully practiced Proverbs 17:22- A CHEERFUL HEART IS GOOD MEDICINE, BUT A CRUSHED SPIRIT DRIES UP THE BONES. 

His Purpose obviously, “one who provides laughter.”

Dale Joke: “When I was born, I was too small in weight to come home. I was left in the incubator at the hospital. About five years later, I walked home and knocked on the door and asked? Remember Me?” 

He will be sadly missed, but his Spirit lives on.

Dale leaves to cherish his memory: nieces and nephews, cousins, friends; Union Brothers Local #176 and acquaintances; best friends, Romel King and Gwen Copeland, Accountability Partners Electricians: Jerry Grangent, Bob Dougherty and Mike Richards.
