Darry Swindle’s life journey began on May 24, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois. He was the son of the late Roberta and Max Swindle.
Darry had many health challenges throughout his life. Sadly, his life ended on June 14, 2024.
He was the youngest brother of F. Jean Thompson, Asim Dawud, and Keith Swindle. Darry attended James Maccosh Elementary School and attended Hype Park Academy High School.
He was employed by the city of Chicago Department of Sanitation and Arthur Andersen Accounting Firm.
Darry enjoyed life and was often the life of the party. He loved music and was a part of the After-Ours singing group.
Darry and the late Shari Danie White were the devoted parents of Darryl Nicholas Swindle and the grandparents of Nicholas and Pierre Swindle.
He was greatly love by his family and friends.
Darry is survived by his son, grandchildren, sister, brothers, his nieces, nephews, cousins, and his partner in life. As long as they live, they will remember him.
