David Thomas was born November 8, 1944 in Tunica, Mississippi. He was the eldest of 13 children born to J.C. and Dorothy Thomas who both preceded him in death.
In 1964, David relocated to Chicago, Illinois where he lived with his uncle, Robert and aunt, Bernice for a short time. During this time he worked as a D.J. at their family lounge. David later began working at several ice cream companies during the late 60s and 70s where he later met his wife, Earline. He later obtained his CDL license and became an interstate truck driver (over the road) and retired from this particular career in 2001.
David was an avid lover of cars and in 2002, he accepted a position at Alamo/National Car Rental where he gained many friends who loved him dearly. He later retired inn 2013. David became a member of New Faith Missionary Baptist Church in the late 2000s. He loved going to church and was very fond of his Pastor. When he was no longer able to attend church, he would listen to the service broadcast.
David was a loving and devoted father. On Thursday, November 26, 2020, God decided that it was time for him to rest.
He leves to cherish his memory; his loving wife, Earline Thomas; his daughters, Pamela Hudson and Kimberly Thomas (from a previous marriage); one step-daughter, Lydia Gets who preceded him in death; and one step-son, Jimmy Hudson (Patty).
