DeAris Javon Evans, affectionately known as “Dee” was born on May 2, 1995 in Joliet, Illinoios to Shawanna (nee Bew) Pinnick and Timothy Houston.
DeAris accepted Christ at a young age and enjoyed attending church. Although he was not a member, he always enjoyed worship service at Mt. Ebal M.B. Church in Lockport, Illinois.
He grew up in the Lockport area and attended Fairmont Elementary School and Junior High School. He attended Lockport Township High School.
DeAris devoted his life to his three daughters, Cailyn, Reignlyn and Reign (deceased).
DeAris was a handsome grandson who was adored by his grandparents, Eloise and Reggie Brown. His smile was a bright ray of sunshine. His presence would light up the room.
DeAris’ generous and kind spirit has touched our lives, leaving a legacy which will remain immeasurable in our lives and in our hearts.
DeAris was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jimmy Barefield and daughter, Reign Matthews.
He passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois.
DeAris leaves to cherish his memory; his loving parents, Shawanna (Lonnie) Pinnick of Arizona and Timothy (Crystal) Houston of Missouri; his daughters, Cailyn, Reignlyn; his siblings, Lonnie, Jr., Destiny, Caleb, Timothy Deondray, Anthony, Tasia, Latara, Armani, Leah, Catherine and Elizabeth; grandparents, Eloise and Reggie Brown, Jimmy Barefield (deceased) and Joanne Hall of Missouri; special aunt, Deidre Bew; special cousins, Jamonni Anderson, Ruben Bew, Jordan Hughes, Joshua Betts, Maya Creal, Caprice Creal. Damontai Woods, Jordan Lesley; special friends, Rubin Johnson and DaV’iontae Hunter; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
