Deondre Shawn Smith

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Deondre Shawn Smith, who left us on Friday, June 21, 2024 at the age of 39. 

Dee as he was affectionately known was born March 4, 1985 in Joliet, Illinois to parents, Vincent Smith Sr. and Beverly A. Smith (nee Nobles).  He was the youngest of four boys and leaves behind his beloved brothers; Vincent Smith Jr., Bryson (Paula) Nobles and Jermaine Smith Sr; parents, Vincent Smith Sr. and Beverly A. Smith.  He also leaves to cherish his second mother, Vickie T. Smith; his three nieces, Adriana, Marisa, and Leila Nobles; one nephew, Jermaine Smith Jr., numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who hold him dear. 

From an early age Dee had a passion for computers and technology and loved to take apart, fix and rebuild them. He was also a movie enthusiast, known for his comical ability to quote his favorite movie lines. Dee will be remembered for being a kind and gentle soul, possessing a heart of gold.
