Derrick Dwayne Stevenson Sr. was born on January 9, 1970 to Joyce Stevenson and Otis Barlow in Miami, Florida. Derrick transitioned on Monday, March 22, 2021.

The Journey Begins

Baptized at an early age, Derrick attended Bishop Blanchette School and graduated in 1988 from Joliet West High School.

Life History

Derrick worked at PacTiv and was a recycling engineer like no other. Derrick was affectionately known as Pops and/or Grandpa.

Departed Family

He was preceded in death by his parents; Joyce Stevenson-Crudup and Otis Barlow.

Cherished Memories

Derrick leaves to cherish his memories his sister, Whitney Crudup and his children, Tashay Letrice (Jackson Mississippi); Deandria Nicole (Joliet IL}; Derrick Jr. (Joliet IL), Shakur De’Jour (Indianapolis, IN) and De’Asia DeShay of Joliet, IL 

His beloved grandchildren: Derrick III, DeMari, Amor, Demi Raye, Mai’sha, Davonni, Ariss, Shaukar Jr, Nevaeh and Naomi along with a of host aunts, uncles and cousins, his cuddy, Glen Ray Malone Jr. and his Big Momma.
