Donnie Ben Johnson Sr.

Donnie Ben Johnson Sr. was born to Odellia Foy and Edward Johnson on July 2, 1952 in Joliet, Illinois.

Donnie attended Laraway Elementary School and graduated from Joliet East High School.  He enlisted in the United States Armed Forces and spent 8 years in the Air Force.  He was stationed in Taiwan and the Philippines.  He was honorably discharged, ranked as a sergeant (SSGT) with heavy equipment training. 

Donnie was employed by Hines Veteran Hospital for the last 15+ years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Johnson and two brothers.

Donnie passed away on May 27, 2024 at Hines Veteran Hospital in Hines, Illinois.

He is survived by his loving children, Donnie B. Johnson Jr. and Aaron Johnson; mother, Odellia Foy; brothers, Lawrence Johnson Sr., and Clem Johnson; one stepson, Christopher Michael Williams and a host of other relatives and friends.
