Dorothy M. Nolan was born to the union of Roosevelt and Thelma Nolan on September 13, 1937 in Clarksdale, Mississippi. She was the eldest of twelve (12) children, which eleven (11) of them preceded her in death.
Dorothy was a teen when her family moved to Chicago, Illinois where she attended and gradated from Parker High School. After high school, she attended cosmetology school and became a licensed beautician for over 35 years. She has been a dedicated member of her beloved church, Gospel Pentecostal Center Church of God In Christ and served on the hospitality board until she became ill.
The Lord called Dorothy home on Monday, September 15, 2025 at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois.
She leaves to cherish fond memories to: one sister, Sharon Hymer; one son, Darryl (Deborah) Nolan and one special daughter, Angelique Nolan; eleven (11) grandchildren, Charles, Tangie, Darryl, Joseph, Seneca, Serina, Cordell, Gabby, Jasmin, Diamond and Ja'Shaun; nine great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
