DyJahn Porter Obituary

DyJahn Todd Porter was born October 4, 2005 in Joliet, Illinois to father, Dymarion Todd Porter and mother, Carrie Michelle Hall. He passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 24, 2024.

He accepted Christ and was baptized at Total Christian Life Ministry under the leadership of Pastor Tracey Jennings.

DyJahn attended Farragut Elementary School, Carl Sandburg Elementary School, Hufford Jr. High, and both Joliet West and Joliet Central High Schools.

He enjoyed power lifting class in high school and was very passionate about his physical fitness daily. He was able to graduate early as a Senior this year, and previously worked at Delta Sonic. DyJahn throughly enjoyed working with his co-workers at his day job at Wentworth Tire Service in Joliet, IL as a tire repair technician and came home everyday with a smile and a great story from his workday that would put a smile on our faces! He had the world at his hands and in his heart! His future was as bright as the sun, limitless, and he had no plans of stopping. He was ready to create his life's story, as he was the pen, and the world was his canvas.

DyJahn had the most beautiful spirit and the brightest smile. He was intelligent, funny, super artistic, well-rounded, and an extremely caring and soulful person. He was a blessing to our lives and the lives of many, spread far and wide. He had a heart of gold! He always had a smile on his face, and was willing to donate to all of those in need. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone.

He was such a jokester, his smile and his laughter would brighten the spirit of everyone around him. He had many skills, interests, and hobbies which included drawing his favorite anime characters in his sketchpad, designing his own clothing, and was a long-time aspiring music creator. DyJahn was a passionate and avid sword collector inspired by his love for Anime and ever since his father bought him his very first sword years ago. He enjoyed riding and rebuilding motorcycles and ATV’s for many years. Whether DyJahn was riding with friends, family, or by himself, know he had a smile on his face from ear to ear and was in HIS happy place. DyJahn left this world at the happiest point in his life and joined in his father’s passion for riding motorcycles and doing what they both loved to do!

He is and was the very best son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and an overall great friend. DyJahn enjoyed our pets; two dogs, Zooka and Fanta and one cat, Lily whom he had a special love for. They will also miss him dearly!

DyJahn was preceded in death by his great grandmothers, Luecindy Pauline Miller; Arnetta Porter, Christine Hall; great grandfathers, Anderson Porter, Benjamin F.
