Eddie Anderson was born to Alice Williams and Jasper Anderson on March 24, 1938, Eddie departed his life on Thursday, May 8, 2025. Eddie accepted Christ at an early age and continued to serve the Lord until he took his last breath.
Eddie married Lucretia Gant and to this union, three children were born, Eddie Jr., Jimmy and Vanessa, he loved his childern. Eddie will also have a godson, Terrance Anthony Jones, who he would take care of and raise as his own son. Eddie would later marry Annie Hubbard and to this union, they would have Nakia Hubbard And Eric Anderson.
Eddie worked at All Steel where he would retire from the steel mill. He would later go on to open his own business. Eddie owned an auto body shop on RT 6. Eddie would also own his own ice cream trucks where he would bring ice cream to the neighborhood on a hot summer day. Later on in life, Eddie would own and operate a You call We Haul Junk business. Eddie will also be a part of Ed Hauling and Lawn Service and Landscaping Service with his son, Terrance.
Eddie was loved by his community. He was also known for his sharp dressing and his host of cars and motorcycles. Eddie was a legend in the Joliet community. He was loved and known by everyone as Eddie Man. Eddie was a loving and caring father and friend. Eddie would welcome everyone to his house on Patterson Road where everyone would sit on his porch and enjoy the summer. Eddie was an icon and he will truly be missed.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Alice Williams and Jasper Anderson, his wife, Annie Hubbard-Anderson; his son, Jimmy Anderson, his daughter, Nakia Hubbard; his grandsons, Damien Anderson, and Deonte Anderson; his great grandson, Jayden Anderson.
He leaves to cherish; his children, Eddie Anderson Jr. (Lisa Hardy), Vanessa Anderson-Eskridge (Willie), Eric Anderson (Xandria Tynes); his grandchildren, Anthony, James Monique, Jessica Pinnick, Diamond, Skylar, Michael Moore, Nakayla McAlister, Ericka Ward Nikia, Amir; his great grandchildren, Jalen, Landen, Yaminah, Jerry, Javen, Jream, his great grandchild, Ronald Gibson; god son, Terrance Anthony Jones and a host of aunts uncle nieces and nephews.
