Elouise Baskin, affectionately known to many as “Bay” was born May 1, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan.
She was educated in the Lockport Public Schools and graduated from Joliet East High School. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She continued to live and practice her faith until God called her home.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Willie Terry; her husband, Gregory Baskin; her sister, Zanola Harris; nephew, Little Will Terry; and aunt, Josephine Couch.
She departed this life on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Illinois.
She leaves in the loving care of God; her loving mother, Emma Mitchell; her devoted sons, Lemuel Terry and Martel Terry; her brother, Will Terry (Zita); special niece, Renee Harris Wakefield (Fred) of Jacksonville, FL; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Ella Baskin; god-daughter Renarda Ellis; one uncle, Calvin Edwards of Gasden, AL and a host of nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
