Gary E. Thomas

Gary Eugene Thomas passed away at Ascension Saint Joseph Hospital on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

He was born on April 28, 1963, in Joliet, IL, and lived there until his death.

Gary graduated from Joliet Central High School in 1981.  He joined the Marine Corps but was only enlisted for a short time.

Gary worked several jobs but was most happy being the mechanic most anyone could call on.  He also enjoyed grilling for family gatherings, sometimes calling himself “The Grill Master.”

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Steve Thomas and Millie Williams, three brothers, Roosevelt J Williams, Terry J. Williams, and Jeffrey S. Hite, and one sister, Deborah A Gill.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter. Crystal French, his siblings Barbara (William deceased) Clayton of Clermont, Florida, Diane Thomas of Joliet, IL, Larry Thomas of North Chicago, IL, Billie Ann Veal of Joliet, IL, Pamela Hite of Crest hill, IL, and Joyce Hearns of Aurora, CO, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
