Gregory “Hound” John Young Sr.

Gregory John Young, Sr. affectionately known as Hound was born on August 9, 1963, in Joliet, IL and departed this life on June 3, 2022. 

Greg graduated from Joliet Central where he excelled at basketball and was the career assists leader.  He served his country in the U.S Airforce at Homestead AFB.  Greg’s smile and laugh will be greatly missed.

Preceded in death by wives-Julie Rideout and Denise (Valandingham), parents- Loucindy Dallas and L.G. Young and brother Jeffery Young, Sr.

Survived by his children, Shakyra Adisa, Gregory Young, Jr., Gregory, Diamond, and Jon Jon Rideout. Survived by his siblings; Elgie (Shonta), Kimberly Bills and Terry (Evelyn) Young; special nieces and nephews, numerous friends, cousins, uncles, and aunts.

The family would like to thank all for their appreciation of all acts of kindness and sympathy, including his medical and support staff but also everyone who provided kindness, support, friendship and generosity through his life's journey.
