Brother Hamilton Cunigan “Hamp”, son of the late Raymond and Agnes Cunigan was born on May 15, 1930 in Live Oak, Florida. Hamilton joined Greater Harvest Church at an early age. He later transferred to New Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois under the leadership of Rev. Taylor and now under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Howard Randolph, where he served as a faithful Usher until his health began to fail.
At the age of 18, he moved to Chicago, Illinois. Upon arriving to Chicago, he began working for Empire Disposal Services, where he served over 40 years. While at Empire Disposal Services, he decided to start his own business named H. Cunigan Disposal Service until 2019. Hamilton was united in Holy Matrimony to Annie L. Saxton; they were married for 60 years. Annie passed away in September 2016.
He is preceded in death by his son, Melvin Cunigan and grandsons, Dwayne and Dewan Cunigan.
On Friday, September 25, 2020, Hamilton Cunigan received his wings.
Memories will be forever cherished by his two sisters, Agnes Cunigan and Eleanora Walls; three daughters, Dorothy Ross (Will) of Chicago, IL, Deborah Cunigan of Chicago, IL and Julia Mahan of Harvey, IL; one son, Dwight Cunigan; seven grandchildren, Bryan, Terrell Ryan Ross, Terrell Cunigan, Dwight Cunigan, Jr., Kellie Cunigan and Sidney Blue; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
