Harvey G. McNair

Harvey Gene McNair (nee Gilliam) was born August 17, 1952 in Hattiesburg, MS to Bessie Louise McNair and Ned McGilvery.  He departed this life on February 16, 2021.

Harvey moved to Illinois at an early age, where he lived his primary years with his maternal grandparents, Zack and Donna McNair.  Through them, Harvey developed his relationship with Christ. 

Harvey was educated through the Lockport School System and held numerous jobs including Mancuso Cheese for several years. 

Harvey relocated to Paducah, KY where he united in matrimony with Mary K. Taylor, who preceded him in death.  It was then, Harvey returned to Illinois. 

Also preceding him in death are his parents, and stepfather, Obie Gilliam, grandparents, children, Tina Cowans-King and Mario Moffett; siblings, Mitchell (Deborah-deceased) and Angie Gilliam.

Harvey leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Jason Gilliam and Tim Moffett; granddaughters, LaTavia, LaTasha, and LaShonda Cowans and Jasmine Gilliam; great-grandchildren, aunt, Ethel Harden; cousin, Betty S. McNair who was like a sister, and numerous other relatives and friends.
