Hilton Hamilton

Hilton Hamilton was born December 16, 1945. He passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 with his family by his side at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Illinois. He was born in Sylvarena, MS and relocated to Lockport, Illinois at an early age where he attended school and graduated. He worked at Caterpillar for 45 years before retiring. He enjoyed riding horses and listening to the Blues.  He was united in Holy matrimony to Carolyn Hamilton on August 4, 1992 who preceded him in death.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Ella Hamilton and father, Artis Hamilton; wife, Carolyn Hamilton; oldest daughter, Rhoda Charisse McFarland and oldest son, Hilton Lavelle Hamilton; brothers, John Hamilton and George Hamilton; sisters, Frankie Mae Hatten and Gracie Hamilton.

Left to cherish his memories; sister, Joyce (Osby Curtis) Johnson, Rev. James (Willa ) Hamilton Sr.; children,  Maurice Hamilton, Chrystal M. Poston, Vincent D. Hamilton; stepchildren, Shanta D. Magee, Terra L. Magee, Stephanie (Marque) Smart, Nina N. Pulley and Jimmy J. Myers; 25 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
