Horristine Johnson, 71, of Orland Hills, IL, was born June 30th,1950 to JD Sr and Mabel (Morris) Glasper in Inverness, MS.
Horristine was an amazing woman. Whenever you needed a good laugh, she was there. Whenever you needed a prayer to reach Heaven’s door, she was there. She was thee prayer warrior.
Horristine had a smile that could light up the room! She was also a very strong and courageous woman. She loved to fish and travel. She once traveled to Jerusalem and was baptized in the Jordan river. Horristine was a woman that did not count the days, rather made the days count.
Horristine was baptized and a faithful member of Second Baptist Church of Joliet, IL. There was not a Saturday prayer call that she missed when in good health. If you knew Horristine, you knew she loved her church home.
On August 20, 2021, Horristine accepted her eternal reward. She was preceded in death by her son Bradley Johnson, father, JD Glasper Sr.; three sisters, Elaine Glasper, Artney Glasper, and Diane Glasper; two brothers, Garvin Glasper (Beverly) and Phillip Glasper.
Horristine leaves to cherish her mother, Mabel Glasper, two children; Louis Johnson Jr. and Tranell Johnson; four grandchildren, Ashley Kimble, Je’Ron Johnson Sr. (Ed’Licia), Joshua Johnson (Monique), Brittney Blackamore (Sheldon); five great-grandchildren, Kennedy Johnson, Je’Ron Johnson Jr, Andrew Blackamore, Khalil Johnson, Logan Johnson; four sisters, Gwen Ulmer (Howard deceased), Mary Johnson, Jackie Glasper, Tara Glasper; four brothers, JD Glasper Jr (Debbie), Fletcher Glasper, Gary Glasper, and Kevin Glasper (Baytina), and a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones, and her church family.
