James Henry McDonald Jr. also known as “Man” was born on November 30,1964 at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet, IL to Patricia Keyes and James McDonald Sr. He passed away peacefully in his home on July 1st, 2025.
James attended Joliet Public Schools and graduated from Joliet Central High School in 1980. He joined the U.S. Marines.
James was a people person and loved his family. He was very social and made sure he called and texted all of his family and friends frequently. He loved going to events and being around his family.
Despite what he was going through, he always tried to maintain a smile on his face. Besides spending time with family and friends, he loved barbecuing, eating, and traveling.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Keyes; father, James McDonald Sr.; his brother, James McDonald III and his sister, Jeannette McDonald.
He leaves to cherish his memories his sisters; Leslie Grimes (Levell); Sandra Pulley (also known as Bam) (David); Dominique McDonald; Ashley Owens, La’Shae Traylor; special sisters and brothers, Angelique McDonald, Charlene McKee, Edward McKee (LaTasha), and Eddie McKee. He also leaves his two sons, Darrius Parham and Deonte Parham; nine grandkids; three nephews, John McDonald (also known as Charlie), Jeffrey Campbell, and Robert Jelks and one niece, Davisha Pulley and host of special family and friends.
