James Lewis Jr.

James Lewis Jr. (aka Bugg) was born in Grenada, Mississippi on October 10, 1952 to James and Marriah Lewis Sr.  James attended Grenada public school system.  He retired from the Will County Senior Service Center after 30+ years due to his health.

James is preceded in death by his father and mother, James and Marriah Lewis Sr., as well as several aunts, uncles and a very special uncle, Isaac McDaniel.

He leaves to cherish his beloved wife of 45 years, Barbra J. Lewis, which he called his “Suga Wuga”; two daughters, Shumeki J. Lewis and Echo Reshon Lewis; one brother, Isaac Jerome Lewis; one granddaughter who was the twinkle of his eyes, Sarriah Frances Allen; mother-in-law, Minnie Johnson and his wonderful aunt, Laura Bell McDaniel, Doshia Booker and Lillie Ross. He also leaves behind three sisters-in-law, Patricia Hayes, Barbara (Frank) Thigpen and Dorothy Waits; brother-in-law, Don Mayberry.

He also holds close to his heart, Linda, Martha, Edith, Joyce, Gayle and Cynthia McDaniel that was raised with him as his sisters; special friends, William Jackson, Les Robinson and Pete Eskridge, the Elks Family and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
