Javion Bailey, age 17, of Joliet, Illinois, passed away on May 4, 2026, at St. Joseph Hospital. Javion was born on September 8, 2008, to his loving parents, Natasha Porter and Johnny Bailey Jr.
Javion was a junior at Joliet Central High School, where he was known for his infectious laugh and kind heart. He was deeply passionate about basketball, video games, and music. He cherished spending time with his best friends, Jarvais Reeves, Jaheim Reeves, and Massiah Morrow, along with his special cousins, Ruben Porter Jr., Shanitra Kuykendoll, and Monasia Barnes. Javion was also a part of the Illinois Youth and Family Program.
Javion leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, Natasha Porter and Johnny Bailey Jr.; seven sisters, Legaci Porter, Aiereanna Bailey, John’nay Bailey, Cy’nia Bailey, Ja’liyah Bailey, Journie Bailey, and Raven Bailey; three brothers, TyShawn Porter, Johnny M. Bailey, and Rushaun M.; his grandparents, Gracie Porter, Valla Hinton, and Johnny Bailey Sr.; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lemmie Grant; uncle, Jessie Porter; cousin, Steven Dawson; and Ruben Porter Sr.
