JoAnn Richardson

JoAnn Richardson was born September 21, 1959, in Chicago, IL to Lula Mae Richardson and Arthur Richardson Sr.

 JoAnn turned her life over to Christ at an early age with her great-grandmother being mother of the church.  She loved attending church and singing in the choir. 

JoAnn attended Thomas J. Higgins Elementary School and Morgan Park High School.  She graduated from high school in 1977.  JoAnn went on to attend Dawson Nursing School to start her career in nursing in which she was very passionate about. JoAnn graduate and became an L.P.N. in 1983. Loving a caring for others was a passion of JoAnn's.

JoAnn met Eddie Jones at California Gardens, were they dated and her first born, Elizabeth "Beth" Jones was born in 1986.  Years later, she met the man she loved enough to marry, Danny Logan. To this union, her baby girl, Nicolette Richardson, was born on July 11, 1992.

JoAnn was one of the kindest, sweetest, loving, caring coolest, funniest woman one would ever meet.  In her younger days, "Momma" would let you know she was fat and fine!  JoAnn won everyone over with her genuine heart, love, laughter, and undeniable love for God. 

JoAnn departed this life on May 4, 2021 at 2:39PM.  JoAnn was preceded in death by both of her parents, and three sisters. 

JoAnn leaves to cherish her memories, one brother, Arthur (Diane) Richardson Jr.; two daughters, Elizabeth "Beth" Jones (Krissy), and her baby girl, Nicolette (Jay Sr.) Richardson; two sons James "Her James" (Ashley) Willis and Gaylord Willis; two nieces, Rita Richardson and Shana Richardson; two nephews, James Townstead and Brandon Jackson; three grandchildren, Jay Jr., Hezekiah (Dasha), and Alicia Logan; one godson, Anthony Hampton, three sisters/bestfriends, Gwendolyn Tolley, Cynthia Hampton, and Latrice Yancey; one brother-in-law, Stanley Williams; her 20 year partner, Nathaniel Rainey, and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
