Mrs. JoAnn Love, was born on August 20, 1945 in Flat Creek, Alabama from the matrimony of the late James and Margaret (Foster) Love. She was called home on Sunday July 5, 2020 in Colorado Springs, CO.
In 1951, James and Margaret relocated their family to Joliet, Illinois where Joann attended grade school at Fairmont in Lockport, Illinois. She then attended Lockport Township High school to later pursue two bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Physical Therapy at Bryan and Stratton College.
JoAnn committed her life to Christ at an early age at Mt Olive Baptist Church in Joliet, Illinois.
She changed the trajectory for herself and her children by relocating to Colorado Springs, Colorado in the late 1970’s. Joann was determined to live a life full experiences that her children and grandchildren could gain enrichment from.
JoAnn leaves to celebrate her life; her Brothers and Sisters Paulette (Larry – Deceased) Faint, Linda (Eddie – Deceased) Blakney, Otis (Jessie) Love, Angelo (Sharon) Love, and Keith (Bobbie) Love. She also leaves her six lovely children to cherish her life; Deborah Ruise, Kimberly (David) Price, Felicia Love, Renee Love, Fredrick (Jennifer – Deceased) Young, and Marquis Love. She was adored by her second set of children Valencia Parker, Michael Thames, Sabrina (Kenneth) Hare, Ronald Couch, and Tony Thames. She was loved dearly by her 27 grandchildren as well as her 35 Great Grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and family friends.
JoAnn, in her free time, enjoyed Traveling, spending time with her family, making everyone laugh, taking car rides, and dancing with the ones she loved. She was extremely passionate about her spiritual well-being. She was particularly indulged in learning about spiritual angels and horoscopes.
Joann is preceded in death by her Parents James and Margaret Love, Brother Jackie Love, Husband Frederick Young, Son Stacey Thames as well as her nieces and nephews.
