Joe Glenn Obituary

Joe Lewis Glenn was born April 8, 1941, the oldest son of four children from Joseph and Annie Mary Glenn.  He departed this life on Monday, April 28, 2025 at Northshore Health System Highland Park Hospital in Highland Park, Illinois.

He attended elementary, junior high and high school in Columbus, Georgia where he graduated high school.  Joe Lewis then joined the Army on November 12, 1964.  He received a good conduct medal, national defense service medal and received a honorable discharge from the United States Army in February 1970, where he worked as a military police.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Glenn and Annie Mary Glenn.

Joe leaves behind two sisters, Alice L. Brown and Mother Mary Jackson and brother, Joseph O’Donald Glenn Jr., all of Lumpkin, GA.  Joe Lewis also leaves behind three nephews, Jimmie L. Comer III of Joliet, IL, Xavier of Lumpkin, GA, and Jyair of Jackson, TN; six nieces, Deborah L. King of Lumpkin, GA, Ora D. Moore of Chicago, IL, Laquetta M. Kosmides of Morris, IL, Jacqueline D. Robinson of Jackson, TN, Ebony of Chicago, IL, Classy Moore of Chicago, IL, Shanay and family of Lumpkin, GA and a host of other relatives and friends.
