On October 15, 1953 Hezekiah Clinton and Ruby Lee Jordan welcomed a son named John Edward Jordan born in Laurel, Mississippi.
John transitioned Thursday, July 3, 2025 at home with his loving family. John moved to Joliet, Illinois in 1970 where he met and married his lovely wife, Lenora Jordan in 1975. If you knew John, he was a workaholic. He worked for his friend, Donald Cousin up until 2016 when he suffered a stroke.
John joined St. Mark C.M.E. Church in 2001. John loved playing chest and he loved playing bid with his family. His favorite holiday was the Fourth of July. He started the tradition of driving him and his oldest grandchildren to Boomland in Indiana and get fireworks. He would take all of his grandchildren to the show and let them watch the fireworks while sitting on the top of his van. Fortunately, before his transition he had the honor of seeing one of his grandchildren, Madison, graduated college with her bachelor's degree in administration of justice.
