John Lee Love

John Lee Love was born to the late Isaac Sr. and Dorinder Love on January 5, 1935 in Kosciusko, MS.  He departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center.

John moved to Joliet, Illinois in 1955 and met the love of his life.  He was united into holy matrimony to Adele (Braxton) Love and to this union five sons were born.

John was employed by EcoLab for many years and also was a dedicated employee at Sears Warehouse until his retirement in 2008.  John enjoyed traveling and was a great jokester.  He was also a great listener and enjoyed spending time with his precious children and grandchildren whom he loved dearly.  He really enjoyed playing basketball and riding motorcycles was his passion. His favorite past-time was watching television.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Adele Love; son, Kevin Love; parents; Isaac Love Sr., and Dorinder Love; brothers, Isaac Love, Jr., and Willie Earl (Fishman) Love; sisters, Merline Dowsing and Annie Crockett.

He leaves in the hands of the Lord; four sons; Darrell Love, Duane (Lorraine) Love, Rodney (Linda) Love and Leslie Love; one sister, Essie Pruitte; numerous grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Helen Love, Kim (Steve) Smith, Crystal (Allen) Anderson, and Robin Braxton; nieces, Myrdes (Harvey) Bennett, Carita Gibson and Acquanetta Love; nephews, Isaac Love Jr. and Demetrous Love, and a host of other relatives and friends.
