John "Vincent" Norris

John “Vincent” Norris was born to Oliver W. Norris and Naomi L. Norris on March 23, 1965, in Joliet, IL. Vince departed this life on July 31, 2024, at Loyola University Medical Center.

Vince was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, several aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Vince joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age and was baptized under the leadership of the late Reverend Isaac Singleton Sr. 

Vince attended Joliet West High School and graduated at age 17 and also completed a divinity certification course. Vince enlisted in the Navy for a short time many years ago and received a medical discharge due to severe allergies. Vince worked many different jobs during his life and was also an over the road truck driver. 

Vince leaves to cherish his memories, a loving mother, Naomi L. Norris; two brothers, Daryl O. Norris, Mark H. Norris: three sisters, Karen (Sam) Gyenfie, Sharon Russell, Donna Norris; two uncles, Moses (Sarah) Logan, Caleb (Viloise) Logan; special nephews, Timmy (Veronica) Norris, Cory, Chris, Daryl Olee, Jack III, Hilton, Khaled, Jaythan; special nieces, Tasha (Howard) Snapp, Tyesha, Ekua (Matt) Walsh, Keona, Akiko, Trisna; beloved stepchildren, Courtney, Desiree (Peaches); and a host of relatives and friendsVince also leaves to cherish his memories, his friends in the Patterson Road community.
