Johnny McCaskill Jr. Obituary

Johnny McCaskill, Jr. was born November 3, 1954 to Johnny McCaskill, Sr. and Mildred (nee Watt) Stinson.

He accepted his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at an early age under Bishop Mitchell of Joliet, IL.

Johnny was a young basketball super star at Joliet Central High School.  He was awarded a full college basketball scholarship in 1972. He was a true Steelmen in every sense. His accomplishments are still echoed in the halls of Joliet High Township School today.

Johnny served in the United States Army at Fort Polk, Louisiana.

He was united in holy matrimony to Melba Todd on April 24, 1982. They recently celebrated 39 years of marriage.

Johnny is preceded in death by his father, Johnny McCaskill Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Charlie Watt and Savanah Watt; paternal grandparents,  Alex McCaskill and Hattie Sue Dukes;  and two grandchildren, Obadiah McCaskill and Gabriel McCaskill.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Melba McCaskill; his adoring mother, Mildred Stinson; five children, Johnny D. McCaskill (Maria), Tanitia McCaskill, Juan McCaskill, Pholina Todd, and Omar McCaskill; three siblings, Ken (Melba) McCaskill I, Chris McCaskill, and Johnnie (nee McCaskill) Atkins; nineteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
