Josephine Alexander

Josephine (nee Turner) Alexander was born to Charlie and Alberta Turner on May 21, 1947 in Joliet, Illinois.

Josephine accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  She attended Joliet Public Schools and graduated from Joliet East High School.

She was employed at Joliet Terrance Nursing Home for many years as a Laundry Attendant.  She enjoyed family barbeques, playing cards, joking and engaging in conversation with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Alexander; parents, Charlie and Alberta Turner; son, Anthony Turner; brothers, Rudolph Turner, Billy Turner, Henry Turner and L.C. Campbell.

Josephine departed this life on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at AMITA Health Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois.

She leaves to cherish her memories; one son, Joseph (Valencia) Turner of Joliet, IL; two daughters, Rachelle (Jeffery) Miles of Muskegon, MII and Shavon Mapp of Joliet, IL; one brother, Bobby (Sandra) Turner of Joliet, IL; grandchildren, Danyelle, Joseph, Desiree, Jasmaine, Sade, Danaria, Dazhia, Shanice, Shantel and Charmane and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
