Kathy Davis, born on July 17, 1967, in Winnsboro, Louisiana, to Earnest Jackson and Elaine Davis, she was the first born of five children. She was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and friend. She moved to Joliet, Illinois, at a young age, where she built her life, formed lasting friendships, and grew into the warm, caring woman her loved ones will always remember.
As a child, Kathy attended Thompson Elementary School and Washington Jr. High School. She later graduated from Joliet East High School, where she was known for her kindness, bright personality, and strong spirit.
Kathy lived a life filled with simple joys. She loved listening to music, reading books, dancing, and spending time outdoors—whether relaxing in the sunshine or enjoying nature’s peace. These were the moments that brought her happiness and helped shape the warm, vibrant spirit people loved about her.
Kathy will be remembered for her generosity, her sense of humor, and her unwavering love for her family. Her presence brought comfort, joy, and strength to those around her, and her memory will continue to live on in the lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elaine, and her father, Earnest.
She leaves behind her son Terrance and her daughter Kelsey, her sister Diane, and her brothers Nicholas, George Edward, and Gerald, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. All who knew her will forever cherish the moments shared with her and the legacy she leaves behind.
