Katrina Elaine McElrath

Katrina Elaine McElrath (aka Trina) was born June 24, 1972 to Adriana McElrath and Arnold Brown in Joliet, Illinois.  She accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of Second Baptist Church in Joliet, Illinois.

She attended the Joliet Public School System and graduated from Joliet Central High School in 1990.

Trina worked at Symphony Nursing Home for over 21 years.  She loved her job, loved her patients and they loved her too.  She loved listening to music, singing, cooking and dancing.

Katrina was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Asline White; grandfathers, Benjamin McElrath and John White; special aunts, Sheena Bates and Cynthia McElrath.

She passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 in Joliet, Illinois.

Katrina leaves to mourn her passing; her loving three children, Lovise E.A. Seals and his father, Everett Seals, Chardonae Davis and her father, Frederick Davis and Tyree J. Snapp and his father, Aaron Snapp; one grandson, Ryan Lindow; loving mother, Adriana McElrath (Wardell), father, Arnold Brown Sr. (Lillian); sister, Tina Jones (Courtney); brothers, Everett McElrath (Farica), Chad McElrath (Tiffany), Bronson McElrath, Ronnell Jackson, Arnold Brown Jr. and Anthony Mathews; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  She also leaves to mourn her best friend, Sharon Washington.

Per Katrina’s wishes, and as family had discussed many times, “keep it simple.”  

Trina would want her children to stay strong and remember the good times.  Tell each other you love them.  Asking forcyour help and as Trina would say when she’d leave out of our place, “Okay, I’m out!”
