Keisha Crossland, born on October 1, 1973, in Joliet, Illinois, gracefully departed this life on August 18, 2025.
From her earliest days, Keisha shined with ambition, faith, and a natural elegance that would one day make her unforgettable. She attended Eliza Kelly Elementary, Washington Junior High, and Joliet Central High School, where her brilliance and charisma left lasting impressions. Keisha accepted Christ at a young age and was a devoted member of New CanaanLand Christian Church.
To know Keisha was to know strength, perseverance, and timeless style. She was not only a God-fearing woman and ambitious go-getter but also a true fashion icon whose presence commanded every room she entered. Whether through her bold choices, unmatched class, or effortless grace, Keisha’s fashion sense amazed and inspired all who crossed her path. She turned heads with her beauty, but it was her heart, resilience, and humor that left a lasting imprint.
Keisha dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren, and work family, balancing love and hard work with compassion and strength. She embodied forgiveness and taught those around her to love without conditions, to persevere no matter the battle, and to carry oneself with dignity and grace.
She leaves to cherish her loving mother, Tonie Crossland, and father, Guy (Arette) Jones Sr.; her daughters, Raven (Chaed Wellian Sr.) and Trinity Brooks; her siblings, Deon Crossland, Ashley Jones, and Guy Jones Jr.; her beloved grandchildren, Madelyn Wellian and Chaed Wellian Jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever celebrate her life.
Keisha is preceded in death by her cherished grandmother, Lee Ethel Franklin; great-grandmother, Leola Brown; grandmother, Ruth Jones; grandfather, James Jones Jr.; aunts, Beverly Pinnick and Marlene McNair; cousin, Terrell Franklin, and nephew Cameron Putman.
To those who knew her, Keisha embodied resilience, compassion, forgiveness, and an infectious humor that uplifted even in difficult times. She fought every battle with grace and never let life’s challenges dim her light. Her legacy is one of love, perseverance, and unmatched elegance—a reminder to always walk boldly, live fully, and leave behind a touch of brilliance.
Though Keisha will be deeply missed, her legacy will continue to shine in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. She was a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend—but above all, she was a woman of unshakable faith, unwavering strength, and undeniable style.
