Keshia Ann Simmons was born November 23,1966 in Kankakee, Illinois to Ruth Mae Simmons and Larry Joe Milam Sr. She departed this life Wednesday, August 28, 2024 surrounded by family and friends. Keshia accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at Mt. Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Isaac Singleton Sr. where she was a part of the kitchen ministry, nursery, and Voices of Zion. She voluntered with the Kingsman Drum and Bugle Corp and loved to travel. She graduated from Joliet Township High School and soon after moved to Riverdale, GA where she was employed with the Clayton County School District for over 14 years and attended Faith Walk Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Diane Collins; she was also a part of the usher board and the church choir.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Mae Franklin; sisters, Adah Simmons and Sharida Perkins; great grandmother, Amanda Clantine Neal; grandmothers, Ruth Pope and Sarah Milam Dove; grandfather, Leroy Simmons Sr.; aunt, Evelyn Collier; uncles, Herbert Pope Sr. and Keith Lindsey; nephew, Justin Caples and cousin, Denise Cook.
Keshia leave to cherish her children, Randale Williams, Cordero (Jetuane) Williams, Conchetta Williams, Ja Quan (Aleshia) Williams, DeAndre Williams and Keishawn (Keirra) Williams of Georgia; 22 grandchildren, Carmen, Aya'nna, Amor, Zae'lan, Zy'kira, Jaleaa, Zyir, Mya, Davionte, Lauryn, Skylir, Jordyn, Theodore Jr., Josiah, Jaida, Journee, Deontae, Nevaeh, Hannah, Keirstin and Keishawn Jr.; sisters, Tanya Conway, Plainfield IL, Adrian Simmons, Tracey Smith. Joliet, IL and Tasha Lee; brothers, William Simmons and Larry Milam Jr., Plainfield, IL; father, Larry Milam Sr.; step father, Charles Franklin, stepmother, Betty Milam, Joliet, IL; step siblings, Melvin, Mavis, Cora Franklin, Charles Nance, David and Charles Williams, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces nephews and friends.
