Kimberly Lynn Underwood

Kimberly Lynn Underwood was born to the late Mary and Jesse Underwood, Jr. on November 22, 1965.  They both preceded her in death.

She was educated in the Chicago Public School System and confessed hope in Christ at an early age.

In the early adult years of Kimberly’s life, she met Roger Pogue; to this union one son was born, Roger Underwood.  Later in life she was united with James Parnell; to this marriage, two daughters were born, Kenyetta and Jalisa Underwood.

Kimberly was a devoted worker to several employers throughout her working career and touched the lives of so many people.

Kimberly loved her children unconditionally and they truly loved their mother.  She had a special love for her grandchildren, she would refer to them as “Granny’s Babies.”

On November 6, 2019, Kimberly transitioned home to be with the Lord.

She leaves to cherish her memories; son, Roger Underwood; daughters, Kenyetta Underwood and Jalisa Underwood; eleven grandchildren; four sisters, Angela (Douglas) Green, Sandra (Richard) Underwood, Latunia and Sonja; one brother, Stacy and one special brother, Ernest Tucker; one aunt, Denise (Alphonso) Williams; two uncles, James Kyles, Jr. and Eugene McConico; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
