Lucille Densmore Obituary

Lucille Densmore’s journey began at Cook County Hospital on December 4, 1973, in Chicago, IL. She was born to Patricia A. Densmore (Bolden) and was reared by Thomas L. Bolden.

Lucille attended Beasley Academic Center and later transferred to Walter S. Christopher Elementary School, both in Chicago, IL. Lucille relocated to Bolingbrook in 1989 and graduated from Romeoville High School in 1993. While in high school, she attended Wilco Area Career Center earning a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification. Lucille was involved in many clubs and activities throughout high school and attended Joliet Junior College after graduating, Lucille had a great love for fashion and was currently enrolled in online classes at Stratford Fashion Design School.

She held a number of positions of employment which included Sears, Payless, and Macy’s in her earlier years. Lucy had a passion for taking care of others and was employed at Meadowbrook Manor Nursing Home in Bolingbrook as a Certified Nursing Assistant until she started experiencing heath issues which left her unable to work.

Lucille gave her life to Christ in 2005. She was a current member of One Kingdom Ministries after being a long-time member of Love Fellowship Baptist Church. She was a very spiritual person who maintained a close and personal relationship with God.

Affectionately known to her loved ones as “Sweetpea”, Lucille was loved by all who encountered her. She was honorably named after her grandmother Lucille Densmore, who proceeded her in death. Lucy was the life of any party and the comedian in the family. She had infectious laugh which kept everyone laughing around her. Lucy was a very warm, kind, and beautiful human being with a tremendous heart.  She extended unconditional love, and unending generosity to her family and friends. She was “that” someone who was always available to help in every way she could, often opening her home to those needing a place to stay. Lucy had a great love for children and often hosted “Diva Days” for her girls on the weekends. The greatest joy in her life was when God blessed her to become a mom to her son, Jahamari Paris, who she loved and raised as her own since his birth. Lucy also loved her little dog “Cupcake” and would take her everywhere she went.

Lucille enjoyed a number of activities including refurbishing furniture, arts and crafts, and sewing. She spent most of her time browsing the aisles of her favorite stores such as Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and Ikea.

After battling a lifetime of illnesses, God called our “Sweetpea” home on September 21, 2024, with her loved ones by her side, she made a peaceful transition. Although she has departed this life too soon, we know that she is resting peacefully in God’s hands now.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her parents, Patricia and Thomas Bolden, sister, Conetia Williams (Flomond); son, Jahamari Densmore, step-brother, Sean Bolden; nephews, Sean Bolden Jr. (Jelana), Jaylen Nunn (Thaija) Jason Sims, Justin Bolden (Ayana) and niece, Essence Williams, eight god children: Donnie, Tyree, Tavaris, Jorydn, Narielle, LeAnn, Trejon, and TyShaun and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and an abundance of loving friends.
