Martin Kelly Moore was born December 11, 1962 to Hallie Mae Moore and James Lee Walsh Sr. in Joliet, Illinois.
Martin was educated in the Joliet Public School System; and worked for several years. He went to the Joliet Beauty School for hair and worked in several factories until he had to retire because of his diabetes. Martin had a good heart and soul. His diabetes eventually placed him in the nursing home. He fought a good fight until God called him home.
Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Hallie Mae; father, James Sr.; brother, James Jr. and nephew, Michael.
Martin passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center surrounded by family and friends.
He leaves to cherish loving memories to his only daughter, Shanta “Precious” Williams of Springfield, IL: his second mother, Willie Mae Williams of Romeoville, IL; siblings, Stevie (Alma), Joyce (Larry) Lannette, Annette, Joelynn and Charles Ray of California, Rosie (John), Sylvia, Shirley and Robert, Wilma (Edward) Mercer, all of Joliet, IL, Deitrich (Charles), Valerie (Robert) of Kankakee, IL, Johnny of Florida, Patricia (Ronald), Sandra (Luther), Calvin (DaShonda) and Corey (Shareeka), all of Joliet, IL; four grandchildren, My’kayla Dudley, Michael Hudson Jr., Mi’Chele Williams and Michelle Brown; a special friend, Adrena; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
