Martin Morrow Obituary

Martin De’Andre Morrow was born on January 16, 1991 in Joliet, Illinois to Debra Morrow and James Q. Sims.

Martin was the youngest of eight siblings.  He grew up in Joliet, Illinois and attended Joliet Public Schools.  He also attended Joliet Central High School.  He was employed at Walmart, Dollar Tree Distribution and most recently at Caterpillar.

Martin was extremely loyal to his family and everyone he cared about.  He would do anything asked of him.  Martin was a leader, hard worker, wise and a protector to all.  Martin loved playing basketball, video games and wrestling with his nephews.  His greatest passion was spending time with his two children.  Martin loved his children more than life.

Martin is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James W. Sims and Laura Sims; maternal grandparents, Willie Mae Travis and Paul Travis; aunt, Amy Sims and uncle, Martin L. Morrow.

He departed this life on Thursday, October 8, 2020 in Urbana, Illinois.

Martin leaves to cherish his memories; his son, Kaileb De’Andre Morrow and daughter, Kailynn Symone Morrow; parents, Debra Morrow of Joliet, IL and James Q. Sims of Phoenix, AZ; brothers, Quitman Morrow, Kawautti Booth and Antonio Sims; sisters, Konika Morrow, Shawanda Morrow, Talia Morrow and Kiwonna Booth; nieces, MiKayla Guardiola, Iyana Guardiola and Kiyah Morrow; nephews, Cleavon Bailey, Adrian Bailey, Donta Bailey, Joshwa Cooley, Jr., Javon Cooley, Justin Cooley, Derek Guardiola, De’Shawn Morrow, Quinton Martin, Jr., Quame Martin, Kewon Cross, Kawautti Booth, Jr., Alonzo Booth, Aimonti Booth, Ken’yari Booth, and Artez Kilgore; aunt, Rosemary Hester; close friend, LaKeith Polk; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
