Mary R. Crosby

Mary Roberta Crosby was born September 23, 1959 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and departed this life on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois.

Mary accepted Christ as her personal savior as a young child and continued her relationship with her Lord and Savior.  Mary attended Joliet Public Schools and graduated from Joliet Central High School in 1977. 

Mary was a dedicated hard-working individual. Mary worked several jobs before working at PQ Corporation for over 25 years, until she became ill and had to take an early retirement.

Mary is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Louise Burd.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Khalisha Smith; her grandson, Davia Mays; sister, Carolyn (Rickey) Keeton of Minnesota; brother, Anthony Booth of Chicago, IL; god sister, Tammy (Vurtis) Robinson of Minneapolis, MN; special sister/cousin, Juanita (Steven) Sutton; nephews, Kawautti, Courtney, Aaron, and Anthony Jr; nieces, Kiwonna, Tori, Codi and Sade; loving long-time friend, William Smith; and a host of other cousins and friends.
