On December 27, 1952, Maxine married Andrew Lee Love and to this union, two children were born: Angela Love and Lenita Smith.

On September 9, 2023 at 1:15 P.M., God leaned over and whispered in Maxine’s ear, it’s time to come home my beautiful angel, your work down here is done. You’ve fought a good fight, come home my good and faithful servant.

Maxine leaves to cherish her fond memories: two daughters, Angela Love of Chicago, Illinois; and Lenita Smith of Hazel Crest, Illinois; four grandsons, Reginald Jr., Anthony, Brian Jr., and Lendon; several great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of family and friends.
