Nadine Marie Dillard was born on October 27, 1953 to Antoinette Peacher and Aaron Chandler.
She departed this life on Monday April 27, 2020 at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, Illinois.
Nadine accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was a faithful member of the
Mt. Zion Baptist Church Joliet, Illinois until her passing. Nadine taught Sunday School,
Vocation Bible School, worked in the Nursery, sung in the Choir until her health would not
allow, and volunteer for many programs, activities and outings that Mt. Zion had.
Nadine attended and graduated from Joliet Township-West in June 1971. Nadine began her first
job at Franciscan Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois 1971 in Dietary, advance with a
certified Nurse’s Assistance and ended her career as a Word Clerk in Recovery. Nadine retired
in1999 with 30 years of service. Nadine was also employed with Joliet Township -West and Carl
Sandburg Elementary School Joliet, Illinois as a Dietary Assistance. Nadine volunteer with the
Joliet Kingston Drum and Bugle Corps for many years.
Nadine is preceded in death by her father Aaron (Juanita) Chandler, mother Antoinette Peacher,
Maternal parents Nathan and Nettie (Peacher) Dillard, two sisters Leslie (Chandler) Merrell,
Stefanie Kay Chandler, two brothers Gerald and Daryl Roberts, and one son Nathan Jared
Dillard.
Nadine leaves to cherish her fond memories: two children NaTasha Lyn Dillard of Chicago,
Illinois and Nicholas Darrnell Dillard of Abbeville, Louisiana, three sisters, Debra A. Dillard,
Kathy S. Alexander and Shelia D. Chandler all of Joliet, Illinois. Two brothers Sammy Bates of
Lexington, Kentucky and Philip (Roleda) Bates, Sr. of Elk Grove, California. Five adopted
grandchildren Dave Jr., Isaiah, LijTafari, Aedaughn and Yapheh all of Chicago, Illinois, a host of
nieces, nephews, grand and great grand nieces and nephews, cousins and numerous friends.
Special daughters: Michelle R. Jackson and Yolanda Casara Pitts. Special Families: The Ellis
and The Conway Family of Joliet, Illinois, The Griffin and Casara Family of Chicago, Illinois.
