Neal McMurtry

Neal McMurtry was born on April 3, 1991. He departed this life suddenly on Saturday, October 30, 2021.

Neal attended schools in Joliet and New York. He graduated from Niagara Wheatfield in New York in 2009 where he also played football. After high school, Neal started making music, a music label, and started an apparel brand. He was an extra on Empire, Chicago Med, Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, Power, and made an appearances in the movies: The Widows, Candyman, and many other movies.

Neal loved his family and spending time with his younger siblings and cousins. You could find Neal in his mom’s kitchen asking “What's for dinner?” or making his favorite jerk shrimp and chicken alfredo.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lindsey Olden and Donnie McElrath.

Neal leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Angel Olden Coe; his father, Mark Coe; four brothers, David Tribble, Nevin McMurtry, Nehemiah Olden and Noah Olden; one sister, Nadia Abram; three uncles, Lindsey Olden, Harry O’Neal and Jermaine Nelson; grandparents, Elsie McMurtry, Elvis McMurtry, Karen C. McElrath, Rose Sweeney and Edgar Nelson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
