Oscar L Larkins, Jr.

Born August 7, 1960, to Oscar L. Larkins, Sr. and W. Jean Larkins in Chicago, IL.  He departed this life on Wednesday, August 4, 2021.

Oscar attended St. Mary and Forest Park Grade School.  He also attended Gompers Junior High and Joliet East High School in Joliet, IL. He graduated in 1978.  He spent eight years serving his country  in the United States Navy.  Upon leaving the military, he enrolled in Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, OK, graduating to go on to his career in Continental Airlines and later on to United Airlines where he was employed until his passing, 30 years later. 

Oscar was a person that met no strangers. He was full of life and love for his fellow man.  Oscar was baptized by his grandmother who was the pastor of the Church of God in Chicago. He loved God with all his heart.  He was fun loving, caring, sincere, honorable person and. His family and friends will mourn and miss him very much.

Proceeded in death by his father, Oscar L. Larkins, Sr. and grandfather, Buster Robinson. 

Oscar is survived by his wife, Marian; daughters, KaBria and Maiya Larkins of Indiana; his mother, W. Jean Larkins of Joliet, IL; grandmother, Iree Robinson of New York; siblings, Seena (Oran) Larkins-Friend, Greg (Yvonne) Larkins, Dwayne Larkins, Aaron (Theresa) Larkins, Sr. and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 1:00PM at St. John Baptist Church, 104 E. Zarley Blvd. Joliet, IL .
