Paul Amos Obituary

Paul Raymond Amos

January 21, 1967 – June 1, 2025

“Paul Raymond” lived a life anchored in faith, filled with service, and grounded in love. Born on January 21, 1967, Paul made his sudden transition on June 1, 2025. Though his time here ended unexpectedly, his influence, wisdom, and spirit remain alive in all who knew him.

The seventh of nine children, A proud U.S. Army veteran, a faithful man of God and a beloved member of Word of Faith Worship Cathedral under the leadership of Bishop Dale Bronner. His passion for the Word was evident in his worship and the joy he found in praising God. At any moment, he might belt out, soulfully and without warning: “Ain’t He alright!”

Paul had a remarkable gift for ministering in the moment. Whether in deep conversation or a casual exchange, if you shared a need, he would stop right then and there to pray. It wasn’t just something he did, it was who he was.

Paul was a loving father to Noah Amos of Douglasville, GA, and Quintele Amos of Dallas, TX. He was also a proud “Papa” to Kassie and Kenya Amos, also of Dallas. His love for them was deep and unwavering.

He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Trollie Mae Amos; his sister, Kathy Amos; his nephew, Damen Amos; his maternal grandparents, Fred and Ethel Lee Wright; and his paternal grandparents, John and Jessie Mae Amos.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his father, George Amos Sr.; and the remaining of the nine siblings he grew up with—Johnny Wright of Wooster, OH; Dorothy Stribling (Dwight) of Joliet, IL; George Amos Jr. (Dr. Ruby Yvonne Amos) of Douglasville, GA; Patricia Amos-Thigpen of Joliet, IL; Leon Amos of Buckhead, GA; Eddie Amos of South Georgia; and Yolanda McKinnon (Andrew) of Buford, GA.

He is also lovingly remembered by a host of “favorite” nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones—too numerous to name.
