She loved sewing, fashion, interior design, and listening to music. She read her Bible daily and was a spiritual mother to many others.
Pequita Madison, age 74, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024, in Joliet, Illinois. She was born on June 11, 1950, to James E. Hill, Sr. and Marie D. Hill in Hollandale, Mississippi.
Pequita graduated from Lockport Township High School and attended Joliet Junior College.
Preceded in death by her parents, James E. Hill, Sr. and Marie D. Hill; sister Pamona Hill; brother, James E. Hill Jr.; daughter, Sabrina Hill; granddaughter, Chinesicia Hill-King and grandsons Sjon’Tre Thompson and Dolante Morgan.
She is survived by daughters, Classandra (James) Green and Herlitra Madison; former spouse and longtime friend, Herbert Madison, granddaughters, Jazmine Green, Jada Green, Alexis Westmoreland, and Donasja Morgan; grandsons DeVante Green, Sjolante Crowder, and Sjon’Tovonni Hill; sister, Estralita (Ronald) Ford and brother, Maurice (Kathy) Hill, 3 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
