Predeta’s early childhood was in Mound City, where she also started her cooking talent in her mother’s cafe. Some of the customers would request her famous hamburgers over her mother’s. Shortly after, Perdeta became a big sister, a role she did not take lightly. She was like a second mother to her siblings. After graduating from Joliet Central, she became a Certified Nursing Assistant. Perdeta earned her associate degree in Accounting, and her Sanitation License at Joliet Junior College. She also took classes for early childhood development at Joliet Junior College. District 86 at Hufford Jr. High is where she worked, she was a dedicated teacher with math being her favorite subject.
She first started her taxes career as teenager during her high school years, with her mother being her first client. A few years later, she became a Registered Tax Preparer from H&R Block. She was known as the Tax Lady.
She was a faithful TV watcher; she loved a good movie and don’t forget her buttered popcorn, she would always go to the show on discount Tuesday. Her favorite TV programs were Lifetime, L M N Rookie, Sista, and The Oval. Perdeta favorite church programs on Sunday’s were K. C. Price, Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyers and Bill Winston in that order.
