Quincy Darnell Sutton

Born June 30,1976, passed away suddenly April 23, 2022.  Quincy accepted Christ at Holy Cross Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Pastor Samuel Thigpen. 

He graduated from Joliet Central High School in 1995.  He also served on the USS Hayler DD997 US Navy from 1995-1999. Quincy then obtained his associate degree from The Culinary Institute of Virginia. He was proud to be called “Chef Quincy”

Quincy returned to Joliet in 2020.  He exercised his gift in the food industry with The Love of Soul Restaurant, Burger Theory, Heroes West Sports Grill, and The Rock Run Retirement Community.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Deacon L.C. Sutton Sr., and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Quincy is survived by his loving mother, Mae Sutton; 10 siblings, stepmother, Connie Johnson, step-brothers, step-sisters, and a host of other relatives and friends.
