Randell M. Ellis

Randell Marteal Ellis, aka Bolo, was born to Janis McKay and Terrence Ellis on June 29, 1980 in Joliet, IL.  He departed this life suddenly on Monday, July 6, 2020, at the age of 40.

Randell gave his life to Christ at an early age at Shiloh Baptist Church in Lockport, IL.  Later he attended One Vision Worship Center under the leadership of Pastor Deon Hayes.

Randell received his HVAC Certification in 2015 from ETI School of Skilled Trades and began working for Sears Home. He was most recently employed by1st Choice Heating and Cooling.

Randell was caring, loving, and a gentle giant.  You could not be in his presence without laughing.  He enjoyed life, spending time with his son, spoiling his mom, and cooking like his late grandmother, Mizella.

Randell was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Johnnie and Mizella Edwards.

Randell leaves to cherish his memories: his son, Randell M. Ellis Jr.; his parents, Janis McKay and Terrence Ellis (Lori); stepfather, John McKay; grandmother, Essie Ellis; grandfather, Robert Ellis; his brothers, Terrence (Vivian), Jonathan (Ariel), Matthew, and Daniel; sister, Kaniece; his nieces and nephews, a special friend, Aisha Jones (mother of Dereon and Randall Jr.); his close cousins, Yarohn Pruitte and Aaron Edwards; special aunt, Karen Banks; and a host of relatives and friends.
