Rebecca Davis

Rebecca Ann Davis was born to Alice Davis and Walter Harris on September 1, 1958.  Rebecca (affectionately called Becky or Bec) was one of eight children.  Rebecca received her high school diploma from Crane High School.  Rebecca had an outgoing personality, loved to dance and was usually the life of the party.  Rebecca was always extending a helping hand to those in need.  Throughout her life, Rebecca would often give of herself to help in any way,  being a caregiver to her mother and extending that love to many others.  Rebecca made friends with people very easy and her hearty laugh would fill any room. 

Rebecca Ann Davis passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 in Chicago, IL.  

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Alice Davis and Walter Harris; four brothers, Johnny Davis Jr., Billy Davis, Jessie Harris and Effron Davis; three sisters, Louise Davis, Ether Garrett and Mary Perry.

She leaves to cherish her great laughs and happy memories to two loving children; Charles Edward Davis of Chicago, Illinois and Kymetha Davis of Chicago, Illinois, whom she adored and would do anything for; four grandchildren, Breont L. Balkcom Jr. Kymesha S. Gorrell, Kimora D. Davis, Kimira F. Gorrell; one great-grandchild, Breont L. Balkcom, III; two god-brothers, Wayne Johnson and Keith Baines; and a special son-in-love, Fitzgerald C. Gorrell, who was just like a son and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
